How to write a story, captions and a headline
STORY MUST-HAVES
- GOOD LEAD IN
- Use a well-known phrase or song-
- Use alliteration-
- Use a cliffhanger-
- Use sights and sounds-
- Use repetition-
- Use “ing” words
- Use a question
- GOOD QUOTE
- TRANSITION (FACTS!!!!)
- ANOTHER QUOTE
- CONCLUSION
Make it at least 5 sentences!
CAPTION MUST-HAVES
- Lead in one or two words
- 1st sentence- who, what, when, where in present tense
- 2nd sentence- (optional) why or how, in past tense
- 3rd sentence- a "one of a kind" quote
- Dominate captions need all 3. Secondary captions just 1.
HEADLINE MUST HAVES
- 1st headline- CREATIVE!!!
- Remember to brainstorm rhyming words and phrases
- 2nd headline- Tell us what the spread is about in a complete sentence with subject and verb.
