Meet Our Aides

Hi! I am a RBT coming from a clinical ABA background at Mitchell's Place. I am a social worker by degree and enjoy working with children of all ages.

I'm excited to be starting my fifth year at MBJH with my three sons (including one heading to college this year), and in my free time I enjoy horseback riding, running, and reading.

I'm a 28-year Navy veteran who served as a Hospital Corpsman in multiple roles including with expeditionary commands, Marine infantry battalions, senior enlisted leader, training officer, and medical recruiter; I live in Mountain Brook, am married to Sheri for 15 years, have five children and one grandchild, and am entering my third season coaching junior high football.

I am starting my 2nd year at MBJH and enjoy hiking, watching football, baseball, and figure skating, and spending time with friends and family. I'm committed to bringing daily enthusiasm and optimism to help your child become the best version of themselves.

I'm thrilled to be starting my fourth year at MBJH, transitioning from the AAS classroom to working one-on-one with a general education student. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my three kids (sixteen-year-old twin boys and soon-to-be thirteen-year-old daughter), my friends and family, and attending church, the lake, or my kids' activities.

Hi—I'm Meg Gore, a special education aide and assistant cross country and track & field coach at the junior high, a Birmingham‑Southern and Cumberland School of Law graduate, married 20 years with two children in Mountain Brook Schools. I enjoy running, quilting, reading, and my pet rats.

Hi! I am so excited to be working at Mountain Brook Junior High and to be working with your students! I have 2 children - a daughter in the 8th grade here at the Junior High and a son in 10th grade at the High School! I grew up in Birmingham and attended Samford University. I am looking forward to a fun year at MBJH!

Hi parents: I am a new Special Education Paraprofessional at MBJH, and I'm excited to monitor, guide, and help your child succeed. I look forward to getting to know each of my assigned students one-on-one and witnessing their progression, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything.

I currently serve as an Instructional Aide at MBJH. I graduated from Auburn University in May 2023 where I received my bachelor's in Psychology, and I am currently pursuing my Master's in School Counseling. It is a great joy to assist in their learning experience and witness their growth happening in the classroom!

Hello — I'm Michael Keith, an Aide in my third year at Mountain Brook Junior High, also assistant coach for basketball and football, and I enjoy golf, fishing, and horseback riding on our farm.

Hello — I'm Demetria Le Roux, a certified teacher with a Master's in Education. I'm an animal lover with five rescue dogs and two rescue cats and I'm happy to be back in Alabama at this wonderful school.

Hello parents: I am an assistant coach for the 8th grade boys basketball team and AAS aide, excited to bring positivity and guidance to students after 10 years of working with kids, and I look forward to an amazing year with your children—GO SPARTANS GO!

Hi Parents: I am a recent Troy University graduate with a degree in Sport Management and am returning for my second year as an aide and basketball coach at Mountain Brook Junior High while planning to pursue a Master's in Education.

In my 9th year at Mountain Brook Junior High, I'm a happily married craft enthusiast and fitness lover with two grown children, two dogs, and a passion for teaching.

I'm in my third year as an aide at MBJH with degrees from Furman University and a master's in secondary education from UAB, and I also work with our athletics program. I enjoy hiking, fly fishing, running, and cooking in my spare time, and I'm excited to work with your students this year!
